US Coast Guard Licence to Teach Sailing
In many circumstances you need a Coast Guard license to teach sailing. If you receive compensation or consideration for teaching in a boat equipped with auxiliary power and operating on waters under USCG jurisdiction, then you need at least the Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUVP) license, which allows taking up to six students or passengers on the boat.
